Pastor Charles Merkner (Pastor Chuck) - Pastor of Worship and Parish |
Pastor Chuck has faithfully served the members of Messiah since 1986. Graduate of St. Olaf College, Northfield, MN Master of Divinity, Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago.
Pastor Chuck lives in McHenry with his wife, Susan. They have two grown children and 3 grandchildren. Pastor Chuck’s hobby is trains, train shows, and more trains! Click here for a message from Pastor Chuck. | |
Pastor Dawn Mass (Pastor Dawn) - Pastor of Discipleship Development |
| | Pastor Dawn began her ministry at Messiah in mid-June. Her installation will he held on Sunday, July 15. Graduate of University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana, Illinois Master of Divinity, Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago
Pastor Dawn joins the Messiah family along with her three children, Matthew, age 14, Rachel, age 12, and Karl, age 9. When Pastor Dawn is not at church, a baseball game, or band concert, she enjoys distance running and cycling. Click here for a greeting from Pastor Dawn. |

Bonnie Jones - Administrative Assistant |
| Bonnie and her husband, Greg, have been members of Messiah since 1985 and she began serving in the church office in May 1986. Bonnie was one of the original four Stephen Ministers who began the program here in 1992. She is a long time member of Messiah's Property Ministry, helping to maintain the entire facility and grounds. She loves volunteering in a variety of ministries at Messiah. |

Pam teaches music in District 118 schools. Pam and her, husband, Norm, live in McHenry with their daughter, Rachel. | |
Bonnie Murphy - Christian Education Coordinator |
| Bonnie will be serving as the new Christian Education Coordinator. She has been involved as a volunteer in the Christian Education ministry since she and her family joined Messiah in 2002. - Graduate of Northern Illinois University.
Bonnie and her husband, Pete live in Lake Zurich with their children, Brendan and Megan. |

Pam Newton - Preschool Director |
Pam Newton is our Preschool Director. Pam has been a leader in early childhood education in Illinois for over 25 years. Pam has been Director at Messiah Lutheran Community Preschool since 2003 and has recently completed her Master of Science degree. | |
Eileen Miller - Kids Club Director |
| Eileen Miller has been involved in the Messiah Kids Club Ministry since August 2005. She was appointed Director in September 2006. She has actively been involved with children's programs for over 10 years. Prior to joining Kids Club, she held positions of Children's Program Director at a local martial arts school and Club/Summer Camp Program Administrator for the Village of Island Lake Parks and Recreation Department. |
